I woke up at 6:30 this morning not feeling particularly well. My bed is very comfortable and I love it much, but over the past week and a half, I’ve developed this habit of waking up about an hour or so before my alarm is set to go off. I think my body does this in order to A, torture me, or B, try to get me to sabotage myself by turning the noisy thing off. I don’t.
So I woke up earlier than I’ve had to wake up in a number of weeks and went to my first day of class, sick. It sucked. Then I left my Sigg at school, and had to go back before work and get it. It was still there (I’m quite lucky for that).
Then I went to work, and it was uneventful except that fifteen minutes before I left, one of the many Sara(h)s that work there (the really cool, quirky one) started a conversation with me that was humorous, insightful, and interesting so that I didn’t have to do any more work until I left. It was pretty sweet.
Last night we had a small housewarming party for the new apartment that only three people besides us (the residents) came to. It was low key, but it was great nonetheless.
Other than that, nothing is really going on. My days are routine and regular and a little mind-numbing. But I’m looking forward to some things to break it up, like my family coming to visit over July 4th weekend.
