Pointing Out What I Wish Were The Obvious

I think probably the most compelling reason to be honest with someone and, if you just aren’t interested at a certain point, let them down easily (with, oh, you know, some kindness maybe)—the most compelling reason is that when you don’t do those things, and that person actually feels some investment in the working out of the situation, you can damage that person’s capability of trusting others. Sometimes permanently.

I’m not trying to suggest that women are, in fact, creating the very men that they find distasteful. But I don’t think it’s very far from the realm of possibility.

AN ASIDE TO THOSE WHO KNOW ME WELL: Don’t worry, I am fully aware of the ways in which this statement makes me a hypocrite.
